Sitting on the slide in Griffin Park. Waiting for my mother to come
Waiting and waiting .I see the light from across the street. It was ten o clock, mom wont come, will she ever? She told me to wait but she never came. It was a month. I left the park and I became homeless. I wondered if she would ever come and get me. My baby, she would say, she would sing me to sleep .I never went to school but my mom always taught me. So I wonder will she ever come and get me?
